PAVERPurpose statement This module describes the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to make cement based blocks pavers. It is intended to be pursued by learner at TVET level IV in Building Construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to: select tools, equipment and materials, prepare mortar, produce cement blocks and cement pavers, prepare ground base, and lay pavers.

TILE WORKS

This module describes the knowledge, skills, and attitude to be acquired in order to place well tiles on the walls, stairs and floors. It is intended to be pursued by learner at TVET level IV Building Construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to prepare working area, select materials, tools and equipment. He/She will also be able to cut, apply tiles, and perform grouting and cleaning of the workplace.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION DRAWING

This module describes the knowledge, skills and attitude required to realize Building construction drawing. It is intended to be educated to learner at TVET level IV for TVET Certificate IV in building construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to: Prepare materials, instrument and equipment, perform free hand architecture drawings and perform scale model.

Apply Construction basic welding

Purpose statement

 This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude to perform the basics welding on construction sites. It is intended to be pursued by the learner at TVET level IV in Building Construction. At the end of this module, learner will be able to prepare the work by selecting suitable materials, tools and equipment; perform arc welding; and perform oxy acetylene gas welding as required.

BASICS OF AUTOCAD 1

This module describes the knowledge, skills and attitude required to create highly precise 2D designs that visualize construction drawings. It is intended to be delivered to learners pursuing TVET level IV in building construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to create, modify and plot construction drawings.

Concrete works

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to perform concrete works on construction site. It is intended to be pursued by learners at TVET level IV in Building Construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to: erect formwork, mix concrete, cast concrete, dismantle the formwork as required and clean the workplace.
